It reassures us the fact that our Surf House is:

  • Of a small dimension and we even reduced occupation in shared rooms to half the capacity;
  • Located by the ocean;
  • Exclusively accessed by our guests;
  • Without air conditioning;
  • Bathrooms allocated to each rooms;
  • With safe, hygienic and personalized services like check ins, airport transfers, breakfast, beach transfers, surfing lessons…

In order to ensure the maximum safety and well-being of our dear guests, staff, and community, we have taken several temporary measures that follow the guidelines of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Portuguese Directorate-General for Health (DGS) which you can find below.

Depending on Covid-19 evolution, these measures may change but always keep in mind to safeguard the health of all.

Flexible cancellation policy: in case of booking cancellation due to Coronavirus, there will be no charge, but be sure to inform Surf Lisbon up to 48 hours before the check-in date. Valid reasons: flight cancellation, infected people, or people in mandatory isolation.

ACCESS TO THE SURF HOUSE
  • Hand sanitizer available in all access points of Surf Lisbon – The House;
  • The use of a face mask is mandatory in the commons areas (indoors). To avoid waste, guests are recommended to bring their own individual protection equipment (e.g. mask).
ACCOMMODATION
  • Whenever possible, guests will preferably stay in a room that has not been occupied the night before;
  • There is no air conditioning in any room or common space. We are located oceanfront and the sea breeze is always entering our big windows. In Wintertime we use electric heaters in the rooms and… more blankets;
  • Guests are advised to bring their own individual bottle for water filling and/or tea, coffee, etc,… tap water is drinkable in the Lisbon area;
  • The Surf Lisbon team will be properly protected, using personal protective equipment.
CLEANING AND DISINFECTION
  • Reinforcement of cleaning and disinfection practices and measures throughout the day, of materials and existing equipment in our rooms and common spaces, with special focus on high contact points;
  • Use of disinfectant products with proven efficiency in the elimination of the virus;
  • Regular ventilation of all accommodation units and common spaces;
  • Cleaning and disinfection of the area used by guests for breakfast, after each use;
  • Special care in handling and washing textiles, including sheets and towels;
  • Hand-sanitizer is available at several points at the Surf House.
EXPERIENCES / ACTIVITIES
  • For prevention, all the activities (Surfing and Yoga) will be limited to a reduced number of participants;
  • If you own it, we suggest that you should bring your own gear for surfing and activities (yoga mat, surf wetsuit, surfing gear,…)
  • All our equipment will be disinfected after each use, as well as the spaces where activities will occur.
